Brief Description

This course and accompanying exam will certify the student at the Expert level and will expand the knowledge gained from the Specialist level. This will include more detailed product information of OpenScape 4000 architecture, system and subscriber features, distributed IP components, survivability and strategy and positioning. In addition, OpenScape UC App interconnectivity and capabilities will be covered to demonstrate the “New Way to Work”.

  • This web based training course will build on the knowledge attained in the Unify Sales Specialist for OpenScape 4000 program and will provide more details on the architecture of OpenScape 4000 with anemphasis on the ways this architecture is beneficial to the customer. The course will enable the Sales Rep to address many of the key concerns that customers have in the enterprise environment in regard to business continuity, deployment flexibility, and improved team efficiency with OpenScape Unified Communications software.

  • The "Unify Technical Sales Module 1 for OpenScape 4000" -Preparation Course is designed for direct and indirect Sales Representatives and Technical Sales. It is the first in a series of certification preparation courses which will prepare the student to take the Unify Technical Sales Expert (USE) Certification Exam for OpenScape 4000.
  • Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Describe the architecture of OpenScape 4000 including IP distributed components.
  • List methods OpenScape 4000 uses to ensure business continuity via redundancy.
  • Summarize the advantages and disadvantages of deploying OpenScape components in a VMWare virtualized deployment.
  • Explain the sales strategies that have proven successful in the OpenScape 4000 environment.
  • Give examples of the “New Way to Work” enabled by an OpenScape 4000 with UC App implementation.


  • Achieved Sales Specialist OpenScape Enterprise (STI-310) Certification is recommended.
